As always, here are some very exciting things happening soon across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole –
From The Cultural Compact:
Thanks to everyone who came to our recent Culture Network event at Poole Museum on 26th March. 58 of you joined us for a brilliant panel discussion. We’ll be announcing our next networking event soon, but in the meantime…

We’re starting a creative WhatsApp group! If you’d like to join, please use THIS LINK to sign up. It’s for artists and creatives working across BCP, to forge new connections and share information/opportunities. It will be moderated by the Compact.
Creative Health Summit:
If you’re interested in Creative Health, we’d love to welcome health and cultural practitioners to join us for this CreativeHealth Summit, hosted at Pavilion Dance South West on 22nd April from 2pm.
From Dorsetborn:
Lessons from Teacher x, Dorsetborn’s new show written by Erin De Frias and directed by Rohan Gotobed, premieres at Lighthouse Poole on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th April –
Barbara Smith (EastEnders) brings 15 unique characters to life in a gripping new play. Lessons from Teacher is a romcom-thriller about love, suspicion, and the warring roles we play in adult life. A secondary school teacher irl, an adult content creator online. Who do you trust to see the real you?
From Arts Development Company:
We’d love to spread the word about Culture Quest, which will bring together 100+ Dorset cultural organisations and freelancers to deliver inspiring arts and cultural activity for children aged 5-11 in Summer 2026. You can find all the information about the project HERE. We are hoping to get as many Dorset cultural venues, organisations and artist involved in this project as possible.
We are now collecting information on activities and/ or events in the summer holidays. If you are a Cultural venue, organisation or artist with an activity over Summer, please complete the form linked HERE. Also if venues have multiple activities they can get in touch with ADC and they can provide a spreadsheet for them to fill them out all in one go rather than doing the google form multiple times.

I’d like to invite you to the next session of Make Art: Bournemouth on Monday 13th April, from 2pm to 4pm. It will be at the Old School House in Boscombe, Gladstone Mews, Gladstone Rd, Boscombe, Bournemouth BH7 6BG. I hope you can join us! To book your place, please click here.
From West Howe Community Enterprises:
Community members in West Howe are coming together to create a pantomime for Easter 2027, which will be hosted at the Henry Brown Centre. They’re planning to stage Snow White—with a twist (or two)!
To bring the production to life, they’ll be inviting the wider community to get involved in creating props, scenery, and more. They’re particularly looking for creative individuals who would be willing to share their skills by leading workshops! If you or someone you know might be interested in supporting this project, please get in touch at tesh.conn@westhowe.net. (Or if you’d like to be involved in helping the Panto come to live, please do join their planning group by emailing admin@westhowe.net).
That’s all folks! I’ll be launching the next newsletter at the beginning of May, so please email the Cultural Compact anything you’d like to be included by Thursday 30th April. You can contact us at info@culturalcompact.org.uk.
