Action Plan: Establish a Culture Network
The Cultural Compact are hosting our second Culture Network event, following on from our successful launch back in March. This evening, we’ll be welcoming over fifty people to Flirt Cafe Bar in Bournemouth Town Centre to facilitate new connections between artists and organisations from across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
As well as breaking down barriers within the local culture sector, we’re also going to be supporting smaller conversations about pertinent topics, as suggested by our attendees:
Creative Health Strategy (suggested by Gemma Alldred)
Meanwhile Spaces in Bournemouth (suggested by Paul Kinvig)
Ways to Improve Accessibility in the Arts (suggested by Myriam San Marco)
Opportunities for Freelancers (suggested by Mahtab Grimshaw)
All these events are free to attend, and we’re also continuing to pay ten freelancers the living wage to join us in the room. This is the perfect way to learn more about the compact, meet those involved, and continue to nurture the rich and diverse cultural landscape across our conurbation.
