Culture Network (July 2026)

Our Summer Culture Network event is being hosted in partnership with In the Making, a a creative evening that blends showcase and community, celebrating Dorset’s vibrant artistic scene.

The night unfolds across three distinct Acts, each showcasing a range of art forms and creative voices. Between the Acts, and after the final performance, there will be space to mingle, network, and connect with like-minded creatives and industry professionals. To book free tickets, use the link here.

The Freelancer Ballot

The Cultural Compact, as well as subsidising tickets for this event, would also like to pay eight freelancers £30 each to attend this event. To ensure this is done as fairly as possible, we’ve organised a ballot that will be drawn on 11th July. To enter, please fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/th3g12JUqkXpCXa18.

Connecting the Creative Community

A core aim of In the Making is to help audiences and artists form new creative connections. To support this, we offer:

Colour-Coded Buddy System:

An optional colour-coded name label allows you to share your name, art form, and what you’re hoping to gain from the evening, making it easier to connect with like-minded creatives.

People Bingo:

A light-hearted, optional icebreaker with creative prompts designed to spark conversation. Play as much or as little as you like.

Feedback

Please note that we will email a feedback form after the event, and QR codes linking to the feedback form will also be available at the event. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and plays an important role in supporting artists’ growth and development.

Access

Lastly, and most importantly, inclusivity and accessibility are at the heart of everything we do. If you have any access requirements or need anything to make the event more inclusive for you, please get in touch at in.the.making.at@gmail.com.
