As always, here are some very exciting things happening soon across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole –
From The Cultural Compact:
Our next Culture Network event is happening at Poole Museum on Thursday 26th March, 5.30pm-8pm. There will be a panel discussion about making creative work in Dorset before a structured networking session, similar to the one we hosted at Christchurch in December. I’m delighted to say we’re working with Emma Armitage (Disability Arts Online) to help ensure access and inclusion is at the heart of this event. We’ll be talking about this more over the next week.
From TOSH:
Arts career support with Open School Creative – 2026 programming coming soon!
£500 OSC Lucky Draw fund – apply for our no strings attached fund, for BH postcode artists to develop their creative practice.
Final space at TOSH Studios – apply for one of our dedicated spaces, for artists to develop their work within an inclusive, creative community.
Access BEAF Network – join our supportive group for Neurodivergent, Disabled and Global Majority Artists in Dorset and Hampshire.
TOSH Community groups – explore our groups, bringing diverse communities together in a supportive, safe space.
From Bournemouth & Poole Tourism:
Hello! Please be aware of our new websites/social media accounts, aiming to raise awareness of upcoming events happening across the conurbation. If any Culture Network members would like to upload events/exhibitions, please do!

From Arts University Bournemouth:We’re looking for a Visiting Tutor to lead our new Saturday Art School creative writing classes for age 13-16, starting on January 2027. This would be for 8 Saturday sessions, 9.30-12.30, paid at £22.73 per hour (4 hours per session). If interested, please send your CV and a short statement to Zuzana Kaletova (zkaletova@aub.ac.uk).
From Dorset Scriptwriters:
Email us at dorsetscriptwriters@gmail.com to join this network! We’d especially like your thoughts on Pipeline at Lighthouse Poole and how it can develop. What would help the development of your new work? Do you have a script you’re developing that would benefit from being presented script in-hand? Or do you want more events where you can flex your writing muscle (muscles?) and hone your craft?
Get in touch here or through the Lighthouse website: PIPELINE – Lighthouse – or come along to the next Pipeline Social on Tues 17th March – PIPELINE: Socials – Lighthouse Pipeline Socials are principally for writers, but all those involved in making new work with scripts are very welcome. We especially welcome actors local to the area – all those involved with presenting Pipeline script in-hand events are paid a honorarium payment. There is now a waiting list for the Pipeline Rapid Response event in May but do keep in touch if you’re up for the challenge, and let us know what you want more of.
That’s all folks! I’ll be launching the March newsletter after our next Culture Network event, so please email the Cultural Compact anything you’d like to be included by Wednesday 25th March, to go out on Friday 27th March. You can contact us at info@culturalcompact.org.uk.
