Creative Health Summit

Last month, the Cultural Compact were delighted to welcome 55 attendees to Pavilion Dance for our Creative Health Summit, organised to connect artists and NHS professionals. As well as launching Dorset’s first Creative Health Strategy, we also invited Matthew Bryant, Joint Chief Executive Officer of Dorset County Hospital and Dorset HealthCare trusts, to talk to us about the 18 Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (9 in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole) that will allow for future creative opportunities to engage with people living locally.

In addition, we facilitated roundtable discussions based on themes pertinent to those involved –

Living Well for Longer

Women’s Health

Child and Adolescence Wellbeing

Wider Mental Health

Open Space

These conversations were fascinating, opening up new ways of collaborating between healthcare practitioners and the arts. It’s clear that, as a collective, we can enable more people to do creative activity which benefits their health and wellbeing. For a summary of these conversations, contact Rohan Gotobed, Arts Development Lead at info@culturalcompact.org.uk.

“Thanks to you and the team for organising yesterday, I found it really useful to hear what is happening and made some great connections. ” – Attendee Feedback
