The Russell-Cotes is recruiting for a part-time Engagement Officer (2 days per week, July 2026 – June 2029) to work with young people to co-curate our two Going Places exhibitions in collaboration with Bowes Museum and Watts Gallery over the next few years.

From Make Art: Bournemouth:
The next session of Make Art: Bournemouth is coming up on Monday 1st June from 2pm to 4pm.I hope you can join us! To book your place, please click here. It will be at the Old School House in Boscombe, Gladstone Mews, Gladstone Rd, Boscombe, Bournemouth BH7 6BG.

You do not need to already be an Outside In artist to take part, but you do need to face barriers to the art world, such as health, disability, social circumstance and isolation.
From Arts by the Sea:
A networking night organised by the Arts by the Sea board. This is your chance to feed into a discussion about the future of the festival as we look forward to future funding applications. We’ll also have some time to network with others in the room. Its on Wednesday June 10th at The Old Fire Station between 7-9pm.

I’m writing to share details about our 2026 Writing Retreats, which are now open for applications from poetsuntil 31st May (at 21:00). Whilst we are a Bristol based organisation, our retreats are aimed at (and prioritise spaces for) poets in the South West, and we would love to receive applications from writers in Bournemouth and beyond.
